The nitrogenous flame retardants decompose when heated. Nitrogenous flame retardants are mainly melamine and its derivatives and related heterocyclic compounds, mainly including melamine phosphate, etc. Because of its chemical properties similar to nylon, it is superior to halogen flame retardants and red phosphorus. Melamine alone can make the nylon mixture grade v-o. Used with various halogen derivatives, metal oxides, some organic phosphoric acid or alkali metal, alkali earth metal salt, flame retardant is very effective. Melapur2o0(melamine phosphate), which is used for glass reinforced nylon 66, is added to reduce the thermal stability of polyphthalamine, so pay attention to temperature control in extrusion models. Unlike halogen additives and red phosphorus, nitrogen causes polyamides to drip.
