Product Description

White particles, polybutanediol (PBS), are synthesized by condensation polymerization of succinic acid and succinic alcohol. The resin is milky white, odorless and tasteless, easy to be decomposed and metabolized by various microorganisms or enzymes in animals and plants in nature, and finally decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. It is a typical completely biodegradable polymer material. It has good biocompatibility and bioabsorbability. The density is 1.26g/cm3, the melting point is 114℃, and the crystallinity ranges from 30 to 45% depending on the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.

It entered the field of material research in the 1990s, and quickly became one of the research hot spots of general biodegradable plastics that can be widely popularized and applied. It has good heat resistance, thermal deformation temperature and product use temperature can exceed 100℃. Its synthetic raw materials can be obtained from petroleum resources or by fermentation of biological resources. PBS is a leading biodegradable plastic material.
