Phenyl o-hydroxybenzoate, an organic compound, phenyl salicylate. It has a molecular formula of C13H10O3 and a molecular weight of 214.23. It can absorb ultraviolet light. Used as a stabilizer of vinyl plastics, as a deodorant of toilet water, also used in the preparation of medicines, plasticizers, preservatives and jasmine, lilac and other fragrances.
