Product Description:

MBS (Methyl methacrylate-Butadiene-Styrene) resin is a ternary copolymer of methyl methacrylate (M), butadiene (B) and styrene (S), which has a typical core-shell structure. Because its solubility parameters are similar to PVC's, the thermodynamic compatibility between them is good, which shows that PVC has high impact strength at room temperature or low temperature. And its refractive index is similar to PVC's, it is easy to achieve uniform refractive index after blending and melting, so using MBS as impact modifier of PVC will not affect the transparency of PVC. Which indicates MBS is the best material for making PVC transparent products. On the other hand, because of its good compatibility with PVC and high impact resistance at room temperature or low temperature, it is also suitable for non-transparent products.
